As long as boats have existed they have been named and had same name placed somewhere on the boat. This tradition continues to this day. Once again vinyl lettering has destroyed this tradition. To have a unique boat name placed on your boat, one should consider having it painted by hand. This is never so true than having a name done in gold leaf.
